NEST Result 2026 announced on nestexam.in; Dashboard download link to be activated on June 30th
NEST 2026 Result: The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and the University of Bombay Department of Atomic Energy Center of Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS) have announced the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2026 results. The result was declared on 24 June 2026 at 04:00 PM through NEST official portal.Candidates who have appeared for the exam can access their result by logging in with their Application Number or User ID and Password. The authorities have also confirmed that the NEST 2026 scorecard will be available for download on June 30 at 2 PM through the official website, nestexam.in.How candidates can access the resultTo check NEST Result 2026, candidates must visit the official website and click on the login link. After entering the required credentials including Application Number or User ID and Password, candidates can view their result online. The dashboard download link on the portal will be activated on June 30.Basics of NEST Result PreparationThe NEST result is prepared using the scores obtained in the sections with the best performance between Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. The examination authority considers these section-wise performances while calculating the final result of the candidates.Admission Process After ResultAfter declaration of results, NISER and CEBS will announce NEST 2026 counseling schedule online. Candidates who qualify the exam will be eligible to participate in the counseling process.Institutions will also publish a merit list. Candidates whose names appear in the merit list will have to report to their respective campuses to complete the admission procedures.The minimum allowable scores per section have been publishedThe Minimum Allowable Score per Section (SAMS) has been released for all categories. In Biology, SAMS stands at 8.83 for UR, 7.95 for OBC and 4.41 for SC/ST candidates. In Chemistry, the corresponding scores are 11.26, 10.14 and 5.63.For Mathematics, the minimum permissible marks are 9.63 for UR categories, 8.67 for OBC and 4.82 for SC/ST categories. In Physics, SAMS is 9.44 for UR, 8.49 for OBC and 4.72 for SC/ST candidates. Separate permissible marks have also been specified for Divyang candidates in all categories.Expected Marks and Rank Rank for ST CategoryBased on the expected marks vs rank data for ST category, candidates scoring between 120 and 80 points can get ranks between 1 and 10. Those scoring between 80 and 65 points are expected to fall within the range of 11 to 50.
