1.29M Subscriber YouTuber Cracks UPSC After Four Attempts, Secures AIR 760

For many internet users, Kirti Chowdhury is the face behind it YouTube KirtiChow channel, where he shares humorous and relatable videos with over 1.29 million subscribers. But behind the camera, he was working towards another goal.Kirti has secured All India Rank (AIR) 760 in UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025. According to APTI PLUS Academy, she is from Howrah, West Bengal and completed her B.Com (Hons) in Accounts and Economics from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar.His journey to UPSC was not a one-time success. He sat the exam four times. He cleared the Preliminary exam in 2022, 2023 and 2024, reached the Mains stage in 2023 and 2025 and finally cleared all three stages, Prelims, Mains and Interview, in the UPSC CSE 2025, the result of which has been declared this year.Instead of choosing an elective related to her business background, Kirti opted for Philosophy. He believed that genuine interest in a subject was more important than following popular trends. During his preparation, he focused on regular revision, answer writing practice and mock tests.Away from studies, Kirti continued to pursue her interests. His hobbies include caricature art and strength training, which he has described as activities that have helped him stay creative, disciplined and mentally refreshed during preparation.His social media presence also reflects his views on self-improvement. In an Instagram post, Kirti wrote, “Never be ashamed of your background, in denial of your roots.”He added: “It’s okay to travel on public transport, not attend parties, wear a shirt until it wears out, not have the latest expensive gadgets, as long as you have that burning desire to be a self-made person instead of milking your parents and being ashamed to admit and accept your financial status.”His YouTube channel describes itself as a space for “Relatable and wholesome content with my lame sense of humor.” Among his popular uploads are videos like The Cat That Proved Astrology False! and My childish opinions that should be illegal!. His last video on the channel was uploaded in December 2025.
