Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) postponed after candidates express concern over exam date clash

The Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) has been postponed to July 5 after a section of candidates protested against the conflict of exam dates, officials said on Tuesday. The OTET, run by the Secondary Education Council (BSE), was originally scheduled to be held on June 28. However, candidates noted that the Odisha Subordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) had also scheduled a recruitment exam for various posts on the same day.Taking into account the concerns of the applicants, the ESB decided to reschedule the OTET. Officials said the exam will now be held on July 5.As per the revised schedule, Paper-I will be held from 9 to 11.30 am, while Paper-II will be held from 2 to 4.30 pm.The date clash came after the OSSSC exam was moved from June 20 to 28 due to administrative reasons. Following objections from candidates who planned to appear for both exams, the BSE changed the date of the OTET to avoid any overlap.
