Noida schools change timings for classes 1-8 as Gautam Buddh Nagar issues heat warning
School timings for students of classes 1 to 8 have been revised in Noida and Greater Noida following persistent heat conditions in the region. District Basic Education Officer Gautam Buddh Nagar has ordered all schools to function from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM with effect from June 29, 2026, till further orders.The revised schedule is applicable to Government, Government Aided, Recognized, CBSE, ICSE, Madrasa and all other affiliated schools of Gautam Buddh Nagar District Board. School authorities have been instructed to implement the revised timetables without exception and continue to follow the order till further instructions are issued.Schedules revised to remain in effectAccording to the district administration, the change has been introduced to reduce students’ exposure to high daytime temperatures. The revised schedule limits school hours in the morning, when temperatures are comparatively cooler, as hot conditions continue across the region.

The expected progress of monsoon is likely to ease the prevailing hot conditions in the coming days.The revised school schedule will continue until the district administration reviews the weather situation and issues new instructions regarding regular school schedules.
