NEW DELHI:: In another snub at: Vinesh Phogatthe Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) has turned down his request to enter his name for three upcoming international tournaments, including the Hungary ranking series in Budapest.The federation cited his suspension period and an unsatisfactory response to his show-cause notice as reasons for rejection.Vinesh is seeking entries in the Grand Prix of Spain and Polyak Imre, Varga Janos and Kozma Istvan Memorial ranking series in Budapest, scheduled for next month, and the Poland Open in Warsaw in August as part of his comeback plans after failing to qualify in Aichi-Nagoya. Asian Games.WFI sources said the federation did not send teams to the Spain and Poland events as entries for the Hungary meet were completed before Vinesh completed his ineligibility period on June 26 – the last date for sending entries for the Hungary meet was June 15.The federation also maintained that his suspension remains in effect pending disciplinary proceedings and court hearings.Sources further point out that Vinesh is not part of the national camp, does not compete in local events and does not hold a national rank.
