Thalapathy Vijay and Pooja Hegde-starrer ‘Jana Nayagan’ entered its first Tuesday at the box office after enjoying an impressive opening weekend. As expected, the film has dropped slightly during the week, but continues to add to the collections in India.According to Sacnilk’s latest estimates, the film has collected Rs 98 lakhs in India on Day 6. The film is playing in 3,106 screens across the country. Since the figures are based on live tracking, the last day of 6 is expected to go up once in the evening and the night collection is added.With the latest estimates, ‘Jana Nayagan’ has taken the total revenue of India to around Rs 135.88 crore. The Tamil version continues to drive the business
The Tamil version is the biggest contributor to the collection of the film. On Tuesday, it collected Rs 82 lakhs. The Hindi version grossed around Rs 9 lakhs while the Telugu version added Rs 7 lakhs to the total. The film is being shown in 1,364 Tamil shows, 1,419 Hindi shows, and 323 Telugu shows, bringing the total to 3,106 shows across the country. The Tamil version accounted for 19.08% of the morning audience, which was a clear lead among the three languages. The Telugu version followed with 14.90%, while the Hindi version recorded 8.58% in the morning shows. These numbers are expected to increase as more audiences come to the show during the day, evening and night.
Collections decline after a strong opening weekend
‘Jana Nayagan’ opened its midweek tour after posting impressive weekly numbers. The film collected Rs 32 crore nett on its first Sunday before witnessing huge collections, to a 50% drop to Rs 10.15 crore nett on Monday.
The OTT release is still awaiting official confirmation
While the game is still on, there has been no official announcement regarding the film’s debut. Reports suggest that Jana Nayagan may land on ZEE5 sometime in mid-August 2026, following the theatrical release on July 23. However, the makers have not confirmed the launch date. Directed by H. Vinoth, star of Thalapathy Vijay’s comedy, Pooja Hegde, Meter Baijuand Bobby Deol in important roles.
