Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) has released the detailed schedule for Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test (TGICET) Counseling 2026. Counseling will be conducted for admission to Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programs offered by affiliated universities and colleges in Telangana. Candidates who qualified TGICET 2026 can participate in the web based counseling process by completing online registration, processing fee payment, seat reservation, certificate verification and web option entry through the official counseling portal. As per the official schedule, online submission of basic information, payment of processing fee and reservation of slots for the first phase will start on July 31, 2026 and continue till August 5, 2026. Candidates are advised to fill as many web options as possible to improve their chances of getting a seat. They should choose colleges and courses carefully before locking in their preferences.
TGICET 2026 advice: Eligibility criteria
Candidates must meet the following conditions to participate in the counseling process:
- Must be an Indian citizen.
- Must meet local or unreserved status rules prescribed by Telangana Govt.
- Should have qualified TGICET 2026.
- Must have obtained at least 50% of the overall grade in the degree exam. Candidates belonging to reserved categories need 45% overall marks.
- For MBA admission, candidates must have a recognized bachelor’s degree of at least three years.
- For MCA admissions, candidates must have passed Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), Bachelor of Science (BSc), Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) with Mathematics at class 12 or graduation level.
- Degrees obtained through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) are only accepted if they are recognized by the relevant authorities.
- Eighty-five percent seats are reserved for local candidates from Osmania University (OU) area, while the remaining 15 percent are open to eligible candidates.
- The maximum age of eligibility for the scholarship is 30 years for Open Category (OC) candidates and 34 years for Reserved Category candidates from July 1, 2026 onwards.
TGIET 2026 qualification alone does not guarantee admission. Candidates must also fulfill all other eligibility conditions laid down by the authorities.
Documentation required for certificate verification
Candidates must bring original documents along with two sets of photocopies:
- TGIET 2026 Rank Card
- TGIET 2026 hall ticket
- Aadhaar card
- Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or equivalent marks
- Certificate of average grades or equivalent
- Grade report
- Provisional degree certificate
- Certificates of studies or good faith from class 9 to the degree
- Transfer Certificate (TC)
- Income certificate issued on or after January 1, 2026, if applicable
- Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Certificate valid for 2026-27, if applicable
- Integrated community certificate, if applicable
- Any other documentation required for the candidate’s category
How to register
Candidates must visit the official TGICET counseling portal and login with their TGICET Registration Number 2026, Hall Ticket Number and Date of Birth. Then they have to fill the required details like Aadhaar number, mobile number, email address and certificate details wherever applicable. The advice processing fee is:
- ₹600 for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates.
- ₹1,200 for all other categories.
The fee can be paid online through credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI.
