In an interview with News18, Arshad Warsi made a surprising revelation about the casting of Circuit’s wife. The actor revealed that Maria Goretti, who later appeared in films like ‘Salaam Namaste’, ‘Raghu Romeo’, and ‘Jaane Hoga Kya’, was considered for the role.He said, “We even thought of calling Maria for this. Ghar ki murgi le aao! Raju ka beta, meri biwi – sab ko le aao, khada karo aur kaam pe laga do (laugh).”

In another little-known twist from the film, the actress who appeared as Circuit’s wife in the film played a nurse in the same film. Rajkumar Hirani, who was also part of the discussion, explained how he appeared and was cast on the spot, mainly due to budget constraints.He recalled, “Every other actor was charging money. We didn’t have the budget for it. We just needed someone to do the picture. Then I saw this girl walking that evening, and I asked my crew who she was. They told me she was playing one of the nurses.”The director added, “I couldn’t recognize him because in that uniform, he looked so different. I told them, ‘Yeh toh pehchaan mein bhi nahi aa rahi hai. Isko khada kar do yaar.’ We didn’t show any similarities between Circuit and him in the film. For many years, people did not know who he was. It’s only recently that they connected the dots.”
