SSC ASO LDCE Recruitment 2026: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued notification for Assistant Section Officer (ASO)/ Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) 2026, announcing 341 vacancies in Central Secretariat Service (CSS) and Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). Eligible departmental candidates can apply online through SSC official portal from 25th June 2026 to 16th July 2026.The recruitment process includes a computer-based exam scheduled for August 2026. The exam will be conducted at centers located in Delhi-NCR only.Details of the vacancy and recruitment processThe recruitment aims to fill 341 positions in the Central Secretariat Service and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Limited Departmental Competition. Only eligible departmental candidates may apply as per the recruitment process established by the commission. Candidates must complete the online application process within the notified deadline. Applications submitted after the closing date will not be accepted. The commission has also specified separate deadlines for departmental submission of printed applications and for candidates serving abroad or posted in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.Application calendarThe notification was released on 25th June 2026 and the online application window opened on the same day. Candidates can submit their applications until 23:00 on 16 July 2026.Departments are required to submit printed application forms by July 23, 2026, while candidates posted abroad, including those from Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep, have until July 30, 2026 to complete the required formalities.Application processApplications should be submitted through the official portal of SSC at ssc.gov.in. Before filling the application form, candidates who have not registered in the new portal should complete the One Time Registration (OTR) process.The commission has advised the applicants to complete the registration and submit their forms within the stipulated time. The computer based exam is scheduled for August 2026 and will be conducted exclusively at Delhi-NCR exam centres. More updates including release of answer key are awaited and till today it has not been released.
