NBEMS Recruitment 2026: Registration will begin on July 7 for 53 vacancies; check eligibility and steps to apply
The National Board of Examiners in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has revised the application schedule for its recruitment drive announced in the June 2, 2026 advertisement. Due to administrative reasons, the online application process will now start on July 7, 2026, instead of the earlier schedule.Eligible candidates can submit their application forms through NBEMS official website till 31st July 2026.
Details of the vacancy
The recruitment campaign aims to fill 53 vacancies in different positions. These include:
- Assistant Director (Medical): 2 posts
- Junior Programmer: 1 place
- Junior Accountant: 4 positions
- Stenographer: 7 messages
- Junior Assistant: 39 posts (including one vacancy for Scheduled Tribe category)
The board has also indicated that the number of vacancies may increase, decrease or withdraw without notice.
Eligibility criteria
Candidates must meet the educational qualification and age limit established for the job they are applying for.
- Assistant Director (Medical): Recognized postgraduate medical qualification; maximum age 35 years.
- Junior Programmer: Bachelor of Technology (BTech), Bachelor of Engineering (BE), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics or equivalent qualification; under 27 years old.
- Junior Accountant: Degree in Mathematics, Statistics or Commerce; under 27 years old.
- Stenographer: Class 12 pass with shorthand and typing skills; age from 18 to 27 years.
- Junior Assistant: Class 12 pass with computer knowledge; under 27 years old.
Application fee
Candidates belonging to General, Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Unreserved (UR) categories will have to pay an application fee of Rs 1,500 plus 18% Goods and Services Tax (GST).Candidates from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Reference Disability (PwBD) and Women categories are exempted from paying application fee. Bank processing charges will apply separately.
Selection process
The selection process will include a Computer Based Test (CBT) Phase I followed by a Computer Knowledge/Skill Test (Phase II) for the applicable posts.For Group B and Group C posts, there will be no interview. The final merit list for the posts of Junior Accountant, Stenographer and Junior Assistant will be prepared based on the performance of the candidates in both the phases of the examination.
