Maharashtra TET Paper Leak: What Happens Next? New Exam Date, New Admit Card and Refund Rules
The Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE) has postponed the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (MAHA TET) 2026, which was scheduled for June 28, after Bhiwandi reported a suspected leak of question papers. The decision was taken after officials found that some of the material seized by the police matched the questions in the TET paper. In its official notification, the board said the exam was to be conducted at 1,028 centers across Maharashtra. He added that after the irregularities reported during the NEET 2026 examination, various security measures had already been put in place to ensure the fair conduct of the TET. However, based on confidential information received early on June 27, the Bhiwandi police raided a place where some people were allegedly found with information related to the question paper. During verification, MSCE officials found that some of the retrieved questions matched the June 2026 TET paper. A criminal case has since been registered and the council said it had postponed the exam to ensure full transparency and allow for a detailed investigation.
