‘Ananthan Kaadu’, starring Arya in the lead, saw a good jump at the box office on its second day. The political thriller, directed by Jiyen Krishnakumar and written by Murali Gopy, managed to collect after the opening day and started its first week with a bang.According to Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 99 lakhs nett in India on Day 2. The latest figures show a 52.3% increase over the Rs 65 lakhs it earned on its opening day.
India Net collections cross Rs 1.5 crore
With day 2 earnings, ‘Ananthan Kaadu’ has now collected Rs 1.64 crore in India. The film’s collection in India has risen to Rs 1.87 crore.The film was shown in 1,637 screens on Friday, compared to 1,355 screens on opening day. The large release helped to support the growth of the collection, although there was a slight decrease in the population from 14% on Day 1 to 13.6% on Day 2. The first two days mark the steady start of the political film.The Malayalam version remained the mainstay of the film’s overall run. It earned Rs 72 lakhs nett on Day 2 from 955 screenings. The Tamil version collected Rs 27 lakhs nett from 682 screenings.In the Malayalam version, the total population was 13.26%. The morning shows recorded 6.42% which was followed by 7.92% in the afternoon. The evening audience reached 10.92% while the night shows registered the highest at 20.42%.The Tamil version reported a majority of 15.18%. It recorded 12.80% in the morning, 15.70% in the afternoon, 14.90% in the evening, and 16.70% in the night game.
