19-year-old NEET aspirant commits suicide after re-exam; the police recover a handwritten note
A 19-year-old NEET aspirant allegedly committed suicide in Jalaun district, police said on Tuesday. The deceased, Chanchal Bharti, was a resident of Chaupariya Kanchanpura village.According to her family, Chanchal had been troubled ever since she appeared for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) on June 21. Police said he was under stress after the exam.Family members found her unconscious at home while they were busy with their regular work. She was immediately taken to the district hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead.Kotwali Station House Officer Nirbhay Singh said police recovered a NEET question booklet from the spot. A handwritten message on the flyer read: “I can’t do anything my brother.”The notebook and the suspected suicide note have been confiscated. The SHO said forensic and writing examinations will be conducted to verify the message.Police said Chanchal’s father works as a tailor and had continued his children’s education despite financial difficulties. Family members described her as a bright student and said they had high hopes for her future.The body has been sent for an autopsy. Police said all aspects of the case are being investigated and further legal action is underway.
