‘Welcome to the Jungle’ continues to run smoothly in its opening weekend at the box office. Directed by Ahmed Khan and led by a band led by Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh RawalThe film has shown a steady midweek performance after a strong opening weekend. Day 5 collections came in at Rs 9.25 crore nett, pushing the film’s total in India to Rs 81.50 crore and its worldwide total to Rs 120.12 crore. As the Day 6 run begins, all eyes will be on whether the blockbuster drama can keep going through the rest of the week and reach well within its domestic net of Rs 90-100 crore in the first week.The film is expected to end its Day 6 collections in the net of Rs 7-7.5 crore by the end of the day. With a few Thursday previews raising Rs. 3.75 crore, ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ officially opened on Friday, making Rs. 15.25 crore on Day 1. Momentum picked up on Day 2 (Saturday) with Rs. 20.10 crore nett, before Day 3 (Sunday) and Rs 24.75 crore, marking the film’s biggest day so far. The opening weekend closed with a domestic collection of Rs 63.75 crore and an international collection of Rs 93.45 crore. Day 4 (Monday) saw a mid-week low, with the film taking Rs 8.50 crore nett, pushing the domestic nett to Rs 72.25 crore and the All India total to Rs 86.53 crore. Overseas markets added Rs 3.00 crore on Day 4, taking the total overseas to Rs 19.95 crore and worldwide to Rs 106.48 crore.Day 5 (Tuesday) delivered a surprise, the film growing 8.8% on Day 4 to collect 9.25 crore nett. This took the all India nett to Rs 81.50 crore and all India to Rs 97.17 crore. The overseas collections also added Rs 3.00 crore, pushing the worldwide total to Rs 120.12 crore.
