Tata Tigor patent images released! What to expect, changes explained
Tata Motors It appears to be preparing an update for the Tigor compact sedan, shortly after the launch of the updated Tiago. Patent images of the facelifted model have surfaced online via a government filing, revealing some key exterior details. The refreshed Tigor is expected to follow the styling direction introduced by the recently updated Tiago hatchback and may arrive in the coming months.
New Tata Tigor: What to expect
The patent images reveal a new front end design with a slimmer fascia and sleeker LED headlamps. Tata has also revised the front bumper, which now combines a revised grille and redesigned fog lamp housing. New alloy wheel designs are also seen. You can also expect a revised rear bumper, updated LED tail-lamp elements and a revised color palette.Inside, the Tigor is expected to receive a cabin similar to the new Tiago, with a larger touchscreen infotainment system, a freestanding digital instrument cluster and Tata’s latest two-spoke steering wheel design.Expected additions include a 360-degree camera, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless phone charger, Type-C charging ports, auto-folding ORVMs and rear AC vents. AMT-equipped variants may receive a redesigned gear selector.Under the hood, the Tigor facelift is expected to continue with its powertrain options. The sedan will likely continue with the familiar 1.2-litre petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox or an AMT. Tata is also expected to continue offering a factory-fitted CNG version.With the Tiago facelift already on sale, the updated Tigor is expected to be the next model in Tata’s compact car lineup to receive a comprehensive refresh. When launched, it will continue to compete with rivals like Maruti Suzuki Dzire and Hyundai Aura in the sub-four-metre sedan segment.
