In a statement, Shatrughan Sinha described Sonam Wangchuk as a “climate activist” and “education reformer” who has been protesting peacefully in support of students affected by the alleged NEET-UG leak.Pointing out the deterioration of Wangchuk’s health after fasting for almost three weeks, Shatrughan appealed to the government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the concerned authorities to intervene immediately.“He has been fasting unto death for a valid reason since almost 3 weeks, he is in good health… Govt, officials concerned, PM @narendramodi & @PMOIndia must fulfill their demands & intervene immediately… Save Wangchuk!” he wrote.Praising her daughter, she added, “Pride of my family, my beloved daughter #SonakshiSinha makes me proud today, by coming out boldly, freely with her timely response.”
