In a recent interview, the actress, best known for her work in Chucky, The Pizza Movie, and You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah, among others, confirmed her admiration for the music legend. She also revealed that the singer laughed with her when they first met on Saturday Night Live.

Speaking to PEOPLE at the 5th Annual Las Culturistas Culture Awards at the United Theater in Los Angeles, the artist explained what it was like to meet her idol. In a previous episode of SNL, he repeatedly said that his famous mullet was inspired by McCartney.When he got the chance to talk about it in another story, that was the first thing he saw. Sherman recalled, “So, I was actually talking a little bit about how I have his mullet from his Wings era, and he came up to me after the show and he pulled my mullet and he was like, ‘Is it real or is it a wig?’She laughed and told him it was real and her hair.Sherman later posted about the moment on social media, joking that he would never wash a mullet again. He also discussed the incident on Jimmy Kimmel Live! , where the host said, “I think it’s very rare that someone gets pulled over by a Beatle.”To this, the Pizza Movie actor jokingly replied, “Honey, he can do whatever he wants to me.”

In the same interview, the actress also revealed how she has long admired the former singer.He said, “And then, I was like, ‘Paul McCartney, I love you, you’re amazing. Like, McCartney II is my favorite album, and ‘Temporary Secretary’ is my favorite song.’ And then I said, ‘I’m sorry to thank you so much.’ And he said, ‘I like to be praised. Encourage me. Make me happy.’Sherman has been a regular on Saturday Night Live since joining the comedy show in 2021. Over the years, he has been beloved for his unique personality and memorable performances.
