RRB JE Recruitment 2026: The Railway Contracting Boards (RRB) under the Ministry of Railways have issued Centralized Employment Notice (CEN) no. 04/2026 for the recruitment of Junior Engineer (JE), Warehouse Material Superintendent (DMS) and Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) positions. The recruitment campaign will fill 4,098 vacancies in the different Railway Contracting Boards of the country.As per the notification, the online application process is scheduled to start on August 14, 2026, while the last date for submission of applications is September 13, 2026. The board has stated that the current notification is indicative and the detailed notification containing complete eligibility conditions, exam details and other instructions will be released before the application window opens.Recruitment data and vacanciesRecruitment is going on for technical posts including Junior Engineer (Civil), Junior Engineer (Electrical), Junior Engineer (Works), Junior Engineer (Design), Junior Engineer (Workshops), Chemical Supervisor (Research), Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant and other notified technical posts. The announced vacancies add up to 4,098.Selected candidates will be placed in Level 6 of the 7th Central Pay Commission pay structure with an initial monthly salary of Rs.35,400/-. Appointments will be made at locations across India.
RRB JE Recruitment 2026 open 4098 technical vacancies with applications from 14th August
Eligibility and application scheduleCandidates applying for the notified jobs must have a qualification in the relevant field. The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is 33 years. Age will be calculated from 1st January 2027 while relaxation for reserved categories will be given as per Government of India and RRB rules.The application fee is Rs 500 for general, OBC and EWS candidates, while SC, ST, PwBD and women candidates will pay Rs 250. Payment will be made online.Selection process and application procedureThe selection process is expected to include Computer Based Test (CBT-I), Computer Based Test (CBT-II), Document Verification and Medical Examination.Candidates will have to register through the official website of RRB using a valid email ID and mobile number, fill the online application form, upload required documents, photograph and signature, pay the prescribed fee if applicable and submit the form before the closing date. Applicants have also been advised to have their education certificates, caste and domicile certificates and other necessary documents ready before starting the registration.
