Christopher Nolan has built his entire career on the belief that the real world is more cinematic than anything on screen, and ‘The Odyssey’ captures that philosophy more than any film he’s ever made. Shooting in six different worlds with big-screen cameras and no green screens, Nolan took Homer’s past and found his living and waiting place in the real world. At CinemaCon in April, he described the events as “absolutely dangerous for a film, but in all the right ways,” adding that, “we went all over the world to make this film because this is The Odyssey. You’ll be happy to hear how difficult it was for us because it had to be difficult. That’s the nature of the story.”
