Rasika Dugal He is excited to return to the world of ‘Mirzapur’, this time for his big screen presence. In a recent interview, he spoke about being part of what he sees as the first time in Indian entertainment, the demanding schedule, reuniting with the original players, and the pressure to live up to the expectations of the franchise’s devoted fans.
Rasika Dugal calls this film a landmark, its first moment
Describing “Mirzapur: The Movie” as a defining moment, Rasika expressed her happiness at being a part of a project that is showing new episodes. Speaking to India Today, he said, “I am very happy that I am a part of something that is happening for the first time in our country, in our industry, where a series of films is being made. I think it has happened in the West. Peaky Blinders is something that happened after a series of films. Another trend has also taken place in the West, where the film has been made into a series. But this is the first time it has happened in our country. So I am very happy to be with them. “
Rasika Dugal hopes that the OTT audience will follow the show to the theatres
The actor admitted that he is eager to see how the audience responds to the transition from OTT to the big screen. “I’m eager to see how audiences respond to this, and I hope our loyal audiences keep coming back to the theaters,” he added.
Rasika Dugal says that the shooting of the film was much less than the series
Although the cast remained the same, Rasika said that the speed of the film’s shooting was not close to the explosive power of the series. “The crew was exactly the same. It’s just that we had a lot of time to shoot. In this series, I feel like something is falling on my head because I’m shooting five or six pictures a day. I only finish one, and I don’t know what happened. I don’t deal with what happened before I ran to the room to change one saree and was thrown to another place. It’s like doing theater where you go to the wings and come back. It sounds like that. And it felt so overwhelming,” he recalled.
Rasika Dugal remembers Dividend What Sharma did on the Season 1 sets
He recalled that he shared this sentiment with his co-star Divyendu Sharma in the first season. “I remember talking to Divyenndu when we were shooting Season 1. We only had two minutes to go, and Divyenndu looked at me and said, ‘Yaar yeh thoda zyada mdima nahi ho raha hai(Isn’t this getting a little dark?)’ I said, ‘Thank you for explaining,’ because I was too tired to explain,” he said.
