A woman identified as Isabel said she was 17 years old when she met Leto at a Las Vegas motel in 2002 after he showed her and his friends around the store where he worked.Remembering what she said happened, she said: “Many times in my life I thought I was a stupid girl, and this really happened.According to Isabel, Leto allegedly kissed her in the shower and forced her to have sex with him before leaving the room.He said he later realized the actor was in his 30s after looking him up online.
The meeting in the hotel room and the alleged threat
One woman, identified only as Alex, says she was 19 when she met Leto after a Thirty to Mars concert in London in 2013.She said that she first told him she was 17 years old, and he replied, “Age is just a number, and we are in Europe.”Alex said that after being urged by one of Leto’s assistants to attend a meeting, he found himself alone with him in a hotel room. When he asked if he could sleep on the chaise longue because he had no way to get home, he said Leto repeatedly replied that he would get up “with his ass.”Reflecting on what happened, he said, “I’m not safe.” She later texted her friend, who replied, “She’s threatening to be raped, you need to tell her.”Alex told the publication that he now believes that “The agent knew what to say, to lure me to his hotel room.”

A fourth woman, identified as Etta, said she met Leto when she was 16 when she went to a modeling agency with her mother in Los Angeles in 2014.She said that as soon as she talked to him about being invited to her Oscar party, the conversation turned to sex.“He sent me emails and then very quickly it turned into phone sex,” she said.According to Etta, Leto asked the obvious questions, including whether she was a virgin, and at one point suggested having sex.She said she was “nervous”, “anxious” and “uncomfortable”, but struggled to set boundaries because of her age.Etta also said that she was later sent a non-disclosure agreement intended to prevent her from speaking publicly about her relationship with Leto. He refused to sign.

The documentary also includes interviews with former members of Thirty Seconds to Mars, who say they were unhappy about Leto’s activities with teenage girls.One former member of the military, identified only as Brad, said the request to invite women backstage “came from Jared”, adding that asking organizations specifically for women “was a little uncomfortable.”Another former worker, called Simon, said that the girls always went to the house where the group was filming.Brad also said that girls who are invited to the stage during concerts are often asked to go back to Leto’s dressing room.
