The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the exam schedule for the National Initiative for Technical Teacher Training (NITTT) Semester Exam from April to May 2026. Online distance proctored exam will be held on July 31, August 1, August 7 and August 8, 2026. According to the official schedule, the exam will be held in two shifts every day. The morning shift will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., while the afternoon shift will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. According to the official notification, the NITTT program is designed to provide in-service training to newly inducted teachers from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved institutions and strengthen their teaching skills.

The training includes continuous assessment through assignments and a final internet-based proctored distance exam. Teachers must complete all stages of the program within three years to be eligible for test confirmation and future promotions.
NITTT Admit Card 2026
Candidates appearing for the NITTT April-May 2026 Semester Examination can download their admit cards from the official website, nittt.nta.ac.in. To access the hall entrance, candidates will have to login with their registration number and date of birth.
NITTT Exam Pattern 2026
NITTT 2026 Exam:
- It will be held in English only.
- It includes 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs) of objective type.
- Stay in an online remote control mode.
NITTT 2026 Exam guidelines of the day
Candidates should keep the following instructions in mind before appearing for the exam:
- Keep the NITTT 2026 Admit Card and a valid photo ID proof ready during the exam.
- Candidates without these documents will not be able to take the test.
- A clear water bottle is allowed during the exam.
- The exam will be monitored live by human proctors throughout the test.
- Supervisors can ask candidates through the chat window to turn their laptop or webcam to show their surroundings if any suspicious activity is detected.
- Candidates should check the chat window regularly and follow all the instructions given by the invigilator.
- Warning messages may appear on the screen if suspicious behavior is detected. Failure to follow instructions even after repeated warnings may result in termination of the examination.
- Candidates are not allowed to keep sheets of paper, notebooks or other materials for hard work during the examination.
Candidates are advised to read all the instructions mentioned in the admit card carefully and follow the remote supervision guidelines to avoid any trouble during the examination.
