BJP MP and an actress Controversy Ranaut criticized the ongoing protests at the CJP near Parliament, saying protests should not be used to “twist arms” or force the government to decide who will remain in office. Speaking to the media outside Parliament during the storm on Monday 20 July, Kangana said Parliament is the right place to discuss people’s issues and what the government is doing, not to solve such issues through protests.“Our parliamentary sessions are designed for deep and detailed discussion and questioning,” he said.They also condemned the protests that disrupt the administration, saying that the elected government has the responsibility to govern without being pressured by the protests. Hand twisting is not allowed. Gradually, everyone is fleeing to the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Sanatan culture, while everything else has been borrowed from the rest of the world,” Kangana said. Kangana Ranaut’s comments came amid increasing protests at the CJP near Parliament during the Monsoon Session.Meanwhile, protesters who tried to march towards Parliament were met with heavy security in central Delhi. The CJP said that the police had used the case to stop the protesters, which the Delhi Police denied, saying that nothing had happened.As the march continued to Parliament, the police later fired tear gas shells to disperse the crowd. Government officials had previously said that permission to march had not been granted and warned that unauthorized people would not be allowed to go to Parliament.In a similar development, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke ended his hunger strike as a freedom fighter Sonam Wangchuk announced that he would continue his long-term fast from Safdarjung Hospital.
