The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has announced the third round seat allocation result for the counseling process 2026. Candidates who registered for the counseling can now check the allotment status by visiting the official website, josaa.nic.in.To access the result, candidates need to login with their Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main Application Number 2026, Password and Security Pin.Candidates who have been allotted a seat in Round 3 must complete the online reporting process, including payment of fee, uploading documents and answering any verification queries, within the stipulated time.
JoSAA round 3 counseling calendar
According to the official calendar:
- Online reporting (payment of fee, upload of documents and reply to queries) will continue till 8th July 2026.
- The last date to resolve fee payment issues and respond to document verification inquiries is July 9, 2026.
- The seat withdrawal/exit option will be available from July 7-8, 2026.
- The deadline for responding to withdrawal-related inquiries is July 9, 2026.
- The round 4 seat allotment result will be declared on 10th July 2026.
Seat acceptance fee
Candidates who accept the allotted seat will have to pay the seat acceptance fee as follows:
- General Candidates, Other Backward Classes – Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Candidates: 35,000 rupees
- Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates: 15,000 rupees
Freeze, float and slide options
Candidates can choose one of the following options after accepting their allotted seat:
- Freeze: Choose this option if you are satisfied with your allocated seat and do not wish to participate in further rounds.
- Float: Select this option if you want to keep your current seat but want to be considered by a better institute in future rounds.
- Slide: Choose this option if you want a better course or branch at the same institute.
JoSAA has advised the candidates to check the counseling portal regularly for document verification updates and complete all admission formalities on time. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of the assigned seat.
How to check JoSAA 2026 Round 3 Seat Allotment Result
Candidates can follow these steps to download the award result:
- Visit the official website, josaa.nic.in.
- Click on the “JoSAA Round 3 Seat Allotment Result 2026” link on the home page.
- Enter your JEE Main 2026 Application Number, Password and Security PIN.
- Click the submit button.
- The seat allotment result will appear on the screen.
- Download the allotment letter and take a printout for future reference.
