French audience claps for SS Rajamouli's 'Eega' during Paris screening

SS Rajamouli is currently on a film tour across Europe, where some of his biggest films are being shown to foreign audiences. As part of a special event, ‘RRR’, ‘Eega’ and ‘Baahubali‘ saga is shown.

The famous picture of ‘Eega’ is answered by the French people

SS Rajamouli’s team recently shared a video from the screening of ‘Eega’ in Paris. The video showed the audience erupting into loud applause after one of the film’s most memorable moments. Fans in the theater cheered and clapped as the famous scene from “I’ll Be Back” played on the big screen. The scene remains one of the film’s most beloved moments, and French audiences celebrated with loud applause.

About ‘Eega’

Released in 2012, ‘Eega’ is a story where a man who was killed out of jealousy is reincarnated as a housefly to take revenge. A famous scene comes at the climax of the film when the little fly bravely confronts the villain, played by Sudeep. Throughout the film, the fly continues to harass and fight the villain. In the final moments, the fly writes “I’ll be back” before the climax. The movies featured Nani, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Kiccha Sudeep in lead roles.

SS Rajamouli will receive a special honor in Paris

During his visit to Paris, SS Rajamouli also received a great honor from the Cinémathèque Française, one of the most prestigious institutions in the world. Sharing his happiness at X, Rajamouli wrote, “Being here in Paris to show my films is an honor for me. But the surprises I never saw coming. It’s a feeling I can’t explain clearly. To have a permanent place in the halls of one of the most famous institutions in the world, named after the great Henri Langlois himself, is something I will carry with me forever.” Rajamouli also thanked everyone who made the tribute. He wrote, “I am very grateful to the legendary Mr. Costa Gavras and the entire Cinémathèque Française family for this honor, and for embracing Indian cinema with such love and affection.”SS Rajamouli is currently working on his upcoming title ‘Varanasi’ with the Telugu star Mahesh Babuinternational icon Priyanka Chopra and Malayalam’s Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film was announced to release on April 7, 2027.
