Who kidnapped Sherlock is a revelation
On the morning of her wedding day, Enola heard from Dr. Watson that his older brother has been kidnapped. He immediately abandons his marriages to investigate his whereabouts. At Sherlock’s hotel in Malta, Enola finds a piece of lace with the word “Khost”, which means the city of Afghanistan, written in Morse code on the mirror.
Moriarty’s escape and his plans
Moriarty, also known as Mira Troy, became the leader of the gang in the second film ‘Enola Holmes’. After Sherlock and Enola successfully capture him, he unexpectedly escapes from the police. It was later revealed that Moriarty had made a deal with the corrupt police officers one of whom was a soldier Enola encountered.Enola confronts the evil Moriarty holding both Sherlock and Lady Tewkesbury prisoner. Moriarty portrays his motivations as dual: revenge on the Holmes family while expressing frustration at what he sees as the family’s hypocrisy and “deception”. However, both Enola and Sherlock feel that there is more to this story than revenge.

Even after Moriarty’s arrest, the Holmes family’s work was not done. Lord Tewkesbury makes a bold decision to return the gold to Afghanistan and turn in everyone involved in the robbery including his own grandfather.
