Actor-comedian Vir Das opened up about missing out on a role in Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s upcoming film ‘Digger’. After the first trailer of the Tom Cruise-starrer dropped on Monday, Das shared his take on X and then took it down. Das wrote, “He gave two auditions for this. They went with Riz Ahmed. The supporting cast includes John Goodman as the ailing US President who encourages Rockwell to overcome the crisis. The film also stars Jesse Plemons, Sandra Hüller, Riz Ahmed, Sophie Wilde, Emma D’Arcy, Burn Gorman, Robert John Burke and Michael Stuhlbarg. The project is expected to be released on October 2, giving the audience something to look forward to.

Das was last seen in ‘Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos’ which starred Mithila Palkar and Mona Singh, Imran Khan and Aamir Khan made special appearances. The actor also announced his upcoming band ‘Baara Number’, which marks his first foray into the horror genre. The film brings together Sheeba Chaddha, Arunoday Singh, Ahsaas Channa, Atul Kulkarni, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Suhail Nayyar, Puja Sarup and Naveen Kaushik. This is Das’ second directorial project, which shows his growth as a filmmaker alongside his acting career.
