Ayaan Agnihotri, also known as Agni, has a strong team behind him. The singer, who made her Bollywood debut with Bobby Deol’s ‘Bandar’ earlier this year, recently revealed how she hid the song with a story from one of the biggest stars in the industry. Agni revealed that Salman Khanwho is also his uncle, was one of his biggest supporters, although surprisingly, he hid everything from him until the day of his release. Ayaan, who made his debut with ‘C’mon Baby’ in ‘Bandar’, recently revealed that he kept the ‘Salman Mamu’ news under wraps until the music was announced and released. Speaking to Hindustan Times, the singer revealed that he was told to keep the song a secret, and Nikhil Dwivedi, the co-producer of the song, wanted him to give an honest touch to the ‘Tubelight’ actor.Giving more details, she shared, “I was not allowed to tell Salman Mamu that I am doing this song for Bobby Bandar uncle’s film. Nikhil (Dwivedi, co-star) swore me to secrecy and said, ‘When this song goes through, then I will call your Mamu and tell her that I have found this man’s new voice; what do you think about this man?’Agni then went on to say that when he asked his mum how he felt about the song, he was told, “He (Salman Khan) liked it and when he met me later he told me that I had done a good job and I should keep it.”In an interview with NDTV a few weeks ago, Agni spoke about the advice his uncle gave him in his early career. She said the actor simply told her to “Sing your heart out and don’t give a *** about what anyone else thinks.”

The singer, who released three singles prior to his performance, also revealed that acting could also be in his cards in the future. The star shared that ever since she left, she has been deeply influenced by the Bollywood industry, and always wanted to be an actor when she grew up. “I went to university to do theater and international theater”, he added, however, sharing that he gradually realized that he enjoyed it all.He said, “I realized that I was doing everything I enjoyed. At the same time I started writing. Poetry turned into spoken word, which turned into music, and I found a very special connection with music. I felt that I could express the things that I wanted through my writing, and I was inspired by music because it helped me connect with the things that I was going through. That really affected me.“On whether a Bollywood debut as an actor is on the cards or not, Agni shared, “Maybe Bollywood sometime in the future; it’s not in the limelight because I love acting. But right now the focus is on music.”
