The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will close the application process for the recruitment of Young Professionals (YPs) 2026 tomorrow, 6 July 2026. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the contract positions by sending their applications by email before the deadline.Recruitment is going on for various specialized posts in RBI Head Office Mumbai. Available positions are in areas such as artificial intelligence, quantum technology, climate risk, sustainable finance, payment systems, financial markets, data analytics, oversight and policy research.

RBI Young Professional Recruitment 2026: Salary and mandate

Selected candidates for the posts of young professionals will be paid a monthly fixed salary of Rs.1.5 lakh.The appointment will be on a full-time contract basis. The initial contract will have a duration of three years and may be extended based on the performance of the candidate and by mutual agreement. However, the total duration of the contract will not exceed five years.RBI has also clarified that young professionals will not be considered regular employees of the central bank. They will not be entitled to fringe benefits or other employee benefits.

Educational qualification depends on the workplace. Candidates with postgraduate degrees, engineering degrees, professional qualifications or research experience in the relevant field can apply for the available positions.Recruitment includes the following functions:

All shortlisted candidates will be posted at RBI Head Office in Mumbai.

  • Academic certificates and degree documents
  • Declaration of interest

Candidates applying for more than one position must submit separate applications for each position.

Selection process

The selection process includes the following phases:

  • personal interview

Only shortlisted candidates will receive interview call letters via email.Applicants are advised to check the eligibility conditions carefully before applying. RBI has also said that applications that are incomplete or received after July 6, 2026 will not be accepted.
