Priyadarshan Coming out with the words of Firoz Nadiadwala
The public announcement comes amid uncertainty surrounding the future of Hera Pheri 3. The film has remained in the news in recent weeks as filmmaker Priyadarshan announced that he is stepping down from directing the drama. He also spoke highly of producer Firoz Nadiadwala, saying that he insulted him many times while doing things with them. The director added that he believes that “Hera Pheri 3” would have become one of the biggest films in India if he had been in the lead.
Priyadarshan remembers being mocked by Firoz Nadiadwala
In an interview with Mid-Day, Priyadarshan shared the details of one such episode, saying, “Firoz told Akshay, ‘You have the right to make Hera Pheri 3, but don’t do it with Priyadarshan. That’s my only request.’ He has insulted me many times. He told me that my voice for Hera Pheri (2000) looked like a poor man and he had to edit my five-hour film. I initially agreed to do the third part with Akshay because I thought I could make one of the biggest productions in the country. If I had managed it, I would have been bigger than Dhurandhar. Akshay, Suniel and Paresh asked me to make Hera Pheri 3. When I told them the story, they were all excited.
