RRB announces 6,557 technician positions in new recruitment 2026-27; Online applications begin on June 30

Notification to the technician RRB CEN 02/2026: On June 29, 2026, the Railway Procurement Board has published the RRB Technician Notification 2026-27, in which a total of 6,557 Signal Technician Grade I and Technician Grade III posts are announced. The notification under CEN 02/2026 has been published on the official website, with the online application process scheduled to begin on June 30, 2026.The recruitment drive is going on in various Railway Recruitment Boards in India. Candidates who meet the required educational qualifications including Matriculation with ITI or equivalent technical qualifications can apply for the invited posts.Application calendar and important datesThe online registration process for RRB Technician Recruitment 2026 will start on 30th June 2026 and will continue till 29th July 2026. Candidates will have to complete their applications through the official portal within the stipulated time. Eligibility, selection process and salary scaleCandidates applying for Technician Grade III must have completed Matriculation or SSLC along with ITI in the relevant trades or an Act Apprenticeship. In addition to technical eligibility, bachelor’s degrees or degree I of the technician signal may also be applicable.The selection process will include Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by Document Verification and Medical Examination. Signal Technician Grade I Posts are placed in Pay Level 5 with a starting salary of Rs 29,200, while Technician Grade III Posts are placed in Pay Level 2 with a starting salary of Rs 19,900.The recruitment is open for postings through Indian Railways, and candidates are required to apply online through the official RRB portal within the given schedule.
