Earlier this month, Aamir and Gauri got married in an intimate ceremony at the actor’s residence in Bandra. The registered marriage ceremony was attended by close relatives and friends.According to ANI, days after their marriage, Maulana Ibrahim Hussain, Shahi Chief Mufti of the Muslim Personal Darul Ifta, issued a fatwa against Aamir Khan on the marriage, saying it was not Sharia-compliant as Gauri was not a Muslim.Responding to the controversy, Aamir explained that Gauri is not a Hindu, as many people think, and added that religion has never been a factor in his marriages.
