The National Testing Agency (NTA) University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) June 2026 provisional answer key is expected soon on its official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in.Once released, candidates who appeared for the exam can download the provisional answer key by logging in with their application number and date of birth or password. Along with the answer key, the testing agency will also release the candidates’ recorded answers, individual answer sheets, question papers, subject wise answer keys and answer key challenge window.The UGC NET June 2026 exam was conducted from June 22 to June 30 for 87 subjects.Candidates who find any discrepancy in the provisional answer key will be able to challenge it by paying a non-refundable fee of Rs.200 per question. Objections submitted by candidates will be reviewed by subject matter experts. If a challenge is found to be valid, the answer key will be revised and the changes will be reflected in the final answer key.The final answer key will be prepared after examining all the valid objections. The results will be declared based on this final answer key.The UGC NET is held twice a year, in June and December, to determine the eligibility of candidates for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programmes.
