The movie, which is now in its fourth week in the theaters, took a huge dip on Friday, but luckily, it did business over the weekend. This coincided with the release of Christopher Nolan’s much-anticipated epic ‘The Odyssey’, which proved to be a firm favorite among Indian film buffs.

According to Sacnilk, “Welcome To The Jungle” collected Rs 38 lakh on its 23rd day, playing around 719 shows across the country. Furthermore, the film’s collection in India has reached an estimated Rs 132.43 crore, while its total revenue has reached an estimated Rs 157.34 crore.

The film opened strongly, earning around Rs 93 crore in its first week alone. But that initial surge slowed in the following weeks. According to the report, the second week’s collections took a major hit, falling to around Rs 31.90 crore, while the third week’s collection fell in the same category to just Rs 6.80 crore. It is now going into the fourth weekend with a low collection of Rs 38 lakh.
‘Welcome To The Jungle’ faces competition from ‘The Odyssey ‘
The film’s decline seems to coincide with the release of Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’, which was released in India in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The Hollywood epic opened strongly, pulling in around Rs 20.76 crore and around Rs 17.40 crore nett on the first day. Larger audiences in IMAX and other high-end formats helped the film dominate multiplexes and high-end screens, drawing crowds that would have opted for home movies.
