Teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi wrote history on Saturday as he became the youngest player to represent India in men’s T20Is during the second T20I against England at Old Trafford, Manchester. The 15-year-old surpassed the previous record held by Sachin Tendulkar to mark a memorable milestone in Indian cricket. While his stay at the crease was brief, Sooryavanshi gave fans a glimpse of his fearless batting with a powerful 14 off just 10 deliveries.Opening the innings with Abhishek Sharma after India elected to bat first, the youngster announced himself in a remarkable way. His first international boundary at the ropes came against the England speedster and his Rajasthan Royals teammate Jofra Archer. Stepping back to make room, Sooryavanshi got in a short delivery and lofted it cleanly over the wicketkeeper for a stunning six.He added another maximum in the next over, launching Josh Tongue at deep midwicket with a powerful slog, highlighting the aggressive intent that has made him one of India’s brightest young prospects. However, England won the fifth over. Jacks dismissed the teenager with a flat delivery outside off stump as Sooryavanshi charged down the track looking to attack. Lost on the turn, he missed his cut attempt before Jos Buttler completed a sharp stumping to end the debutant’s innings.
