The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the result of Engineering Services (Main) Exam 2026. Candidates who appeared for the written exam can now check the PDF result on the official website of UPSC.According to the Commission, 1,340 candidates have qualified for the interview/personality test based on their performance in the Engineering Services (Main) Examination held on June 21, 2026.The UPSC has clarified that the candidature of all shortlisted candidates is provisional and will be subject to verification of eligibility conditions. Candidates will have to submit original documents related to age, educational qualification, community, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) status, reference disability (if applicable) and other relevant claims during the personality test.

The Commission will soon open a 15-day online window for shortlisted candidates. During this period, candidates will have to login to the designated UPSC portal, update their details and upload the passing proof of the required qualifying examination. Candidates who do not pass this process will not be able to take the Personality Test, and their candidacy may be cancelled.Apart from uploading the required documents, candidates will also be able to update their mailing address, higher qualifications, achievements, employment details, service experience, service assignment and service preferences. UPSC has said that all shortlisted candidates must submit the online application form during this window, even if no changes are required. This is necessary for the generation of the electronic invitation letter.The personality test schedule will be announced separately. Candidates will be able to download their e-call letter from the UPSC website once it is released. The Commission will also publish the interview schedule by numbers. UPSC has stated that requests for change of interview date or time will not be entertained.The Commission further said that the marks of qualified and unqualified candidates will be uploaded only after the final result is declared after conducting the personality test.
