Christopher Nolan‘s ‘The Odyssey’ continued its dream run at the Indian box office. Directed by Matt Damon, the fantasy adventure has crossed the Rs 70 crore mark within the opening week.

According to a report by sacnilk, the film has already become Nolan’s opening act in India. ‘The Odyssey’ collected Rs 21.90 crore nett on Sunday (Day 3) and a total of Rs 26.16 crore from 9,195 shows.Day 3 earnings were marginally down by 0.5% on Saturday’s collections of Rs 22 crore nett.With this, the film’s total in India is around Rs 61.30 crore, while the total collection now stands at Rs 73.19 crore after three days in theatres.

‘The Odyssey’, which started its journey at the box office with a collection of Rs 17.40 crore on Friday. It saw good growth at the ticket windows on Saturday, earning Rs 22 crore net (Rs 26.27 gross) before maintaining almost the same numbers on Sunday.The film had already set a record on its opening day by becoming Christopher Nolan’s highest opening film in India. It grossed Rs 20.75 crore in all languages on Day 1, surpassing ‘Oppenheimer’s’ total opening of Rs 17.50 crore.
The English version of ‘Odyssey’ has reached the Rs 50 crore mark
The original English version has been driving the business, earning around Rs 50 crore of the film’s total collection. According to the report, the film has collected Rs 48.5 crore so far. while the Hindi version comes second, followed by the Tamil and Telugu versions.With its opening day opening performance, ‘The Odyssey’ surpassed Nolan’s first-day releases, including ‘Oppenheimer’, ‘Tenet’, ‘Interstellar’ and ‘Dunkirk’, setting a new benchmark for established filmmakers in the Indian market.
