Sunny Deol shows that playing Hanuman in Nitesh Tiwari‘s ‘Ramayana’ comes with a huge responsibility. Speaking at the film’s promotional event at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on July 18, the actor shared that he has only completed a small part of his work so far, he has a long way to go. The Delhi incident became a pivotal moment in the promotion of these two sectors. Shooting in IMAX, the first chapter of the movie should be released in 2026, and the last part will arrive in 2027.

The actor told everyone that he has just started the work of ‘Ramayana’ and there was a lot of work to be done before he could fully understand the role. “Honestly, I have only done a little bit of the film so far. I still have a long way to go,” he said. For Sunny, the sheer scale of the film is only part of the challenge. He said ‘Ramayana’ means a lot to the people of India, which makes playing one of his favorite characters a bigger responsibility than watching a movie. He also thanked the makers for choosing him for the role, saying, “I am happy that I got the chance to play Hanuman ji. I will do everything possible to portray him in the right way.”Deol made it clear that this role is not ordinary. He said that Hanuman cannot be defined by physical powers alone.
