Skoda Slavia facelift speed testing again: Interior, design changes here
The Skoda Slavia sedan made its global debut in 2021. Now, nearly five years later, the model is set to receive its first mid-life facelift, which brings a variety of design and feature updates. The upcoming Slavia facelift has been spotted testing on Indian roads several times over the past few months, with each sighting revealing something new. New spy shots of the Slavia facelift have surfaced, revealing more details about the sedan’s upcoming updates. The latest images also offer a look inside the cabin, although most of the dashboard continues to be hidden under heavy camouflage.

The spy image offers a first look inside the Slavia facelift. While camouflage still covers most of the dashboard, the layout of the cabin appears unchanged. A free-standing infotainment screen and the current steering wheel design can be seen on the test vehicle. Based on the updates introduced in the Kushaq facelift, the Slavia is expected to get a bigger touchscreen, an updated digital instrument cluster and new upholstery options. Mechanically, it is expected to continue unchanged, retaining the same set of engine options. Like the Kushaq, Skoda is expected to introduce a new 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission for the 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine, replacing the previous 6-speed unit. The other engine is a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder, turbo gasoline.Design-wise, it is expected to have a revised fascia with sharper headlamps, a revised grille with a connected light strip, similar to the Kushaq facelift and a new bumper design. On the sides, the sedan may get newly designed 16-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, updates are likely to include a reworked boot lid, slimmer tail-lamp housing, and other subtle styling improvements. The sedan will also feature dynamic turn signals. The current model uses halogen indicators on both ends; the facelifted model will be replaced with LED units. The updated combination lamps with dynamic turn indicators will be placed in the lower outer section, with a sweeping interior-to-exterior animation similar to that found in high-end sedans.Image: Rushlane/Instagram
