What started as an emotional dance competition turned into an inspiring journey that has led him to portray the goddess Sita in Nitesh Tiwari‘Ramayana’.

The dance that changed everything

Sai Pallavi’s passion for dancing started at a young age. Growing up in Coimbatore with her parents in Kotagiri in the Nilgiris she was inspired by her mother Radha Kannan who is a trained dancer. Inspired by singers like Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai, Sai spent hours watching dance and learning through observation.However, his first appearance was memorable for some reason.Years ago, recalling the incident at Nijam and Smita, Sai Pallavi said, “I think I was the first step. I cut the boy’s hair. It was a song from Shah Rukh Khan, Dil To Pagal Hai by Karisma Kapoor! Yeah. That was my first dance.”He then explained how he was embarrassed in public by wearing the wrong clothes.She shared, “It wasn’t a stage like that. It was like we have a podium here. It was an inter-school competition. I don’t know why my mother took me there but I went with her. They attached a dupatta and a clip to my hair to make it look like long hair. It fell in the middle of the work and I felt uncomfortable. I remember I got down and started crying with talent.Despite that, her mother continued to encourage her, helping her regain her confidence and continue dancing.

Balancing medicine and film work

Born on May 9, 1992, Sai Pallavi followed an unconventional path before entering films. Along with his interest in singing, he completed his MBBS from Tbilisi State Medical University in Georgia. During those years, she also appeared in dance shows and small groups before becoming successful.Her career took a big turn with Alphonse Puthren’s ‘Premam’ in 2015. Playing Malar, she got a lot of credit for her minimalist and understated performance. We can say that the miss of ‘Malar’ was indeed a powerful opening for Sai.Instead of choosing conventional roles, Sai Pallavi built her film around strong characters. Movies like Dulquer Salmaan’s ‘Kali’, ‘Fidaa’, ‘Love Story’, Nani’s ‘Shyam Singha Roy’, ‘Gargi’ and ‘Amaran’ showcased his versatility and performance.His popularity also grew through dancing. Sai Pallavi is now gearing up for one of the biggest projects of her career with Ramayana. He plays Sita, while Ranbir Kapoor shows Lord Rama.During the Ramayana: Pratham Sankalp event in New Delhi, Sai Pallavi spoke publicly about the film for the first time. He expressed his gratitude for being appointed to this position and indicated that he had spent three years in this position. The cast also includes Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman.
