Knight Riders Sports appointed the former Netherlands all-rounder Ryan ten Doeschate as the new Head of Cricket Strategy, bringing him back to the franchise where he enjoyed success as a player and coach.In his new role, Ten Doeschate will oversee cricket strategy, player scouting, recruitment, squad planning and talent development across Knight Riders’ global teams. He will also work as an assistant coach for Trinbago Knight Riders in CPL, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in ILT20 and Los Angeles Knight Riders in Major League Cricket.Knight Riders Sports CEO Venky Mysore welcomed the appointment, saying, “We are delighted to welcome Tendo back to the Knight Riders family. His deep understanding of our philosophy, coupled with his experience across franchise and international cricket, makes him ideally suited for this role. It is a unique opportunity to work with the coaching & analytics teams of our global franchises to strengthen our scouting/player development systems, and to develop a long-term cricket strategy.”Ten Doeschate first joined the Kolkata Knight Riders as a player in 2011 and was part of the IPL-winning teams in 2012 and 2014. He later returned as a coach in 2022 and played a key role in the third franchise IPL: title win in 2024. His latest appointment marks another chapter in his long association with the Knight Riders family.
