Less than 24 hours after the suspension, a statement shared by actor Sudipa Chatterjee on Wednesday about Rajesh Sharma‘s hospitalization, following an alleged insect bite on the sets of Prabhas’ upcoming film, was taken off the airwaves. The move comes after the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) demanded a high-level inquiry into the matter. The player remains in hospital and is out of danger.
What he said about this matter
According to the now-defunct source, this took place at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad after the completion of the film. It said that Sharma was talking to local experts in the green area when he was allegedly bitten by an insect, possibly a bug or a spider.
Sharma initially did not seek medical help
According to his statement, Sharma initially did not think the bite was serious enough to seek immediate medical attention. Soon after this, her condition worsened, which led to her being hospitalized.

AICWA requires high quality research
In a post on X, AICWA called out Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to order a high level inquiry into the incident. The union also demanded that the filmmaker pay the actor’s medical expenses and demanded action if the investigation found any negligence. President of AICWA Suresh Shyamlal Gupta, in the statement, raised questions as to whether proper emergency procedures were implemented, and asked why Sharma was not rushed to a leading hospital in Hyderabad if his condition became critical during the shooting.
AICWA requires accountability and security solutions
AICWA also asked for clarification on a number of issues: whether there are adequate emergency medical facilities on site, whether valid occupational health and safety regulations are followed, and what happened in the circumstances that led to the rapid loss of the actors. The organization added that if the investigation shows negligence or security violations, strict laws must follow those responsible, emphasizing that no person or film studio, regardless of the amount of the film or the budget, is not responsible. It also urged the makers to take care of all Sharma’s medical expenses and ensure that he gets the best care till he recovers.
Rajesh Sharma’s condition is still being monitored
Reports indicate that the actor continues to be monitored by the medical staff. Although there have been some changes in his body, doctors have not said that he is in danger.
