Monty Nath shares how he first met Manoj Kumar
Speaking to Vickey Lalwani on his show, the veteran icon opened up about what it was like meeting Manoj Kumar for the first time. When a reporter asked him about his first meeting with the ‘Purab Aur Paschim’ actor, Nath shared that the two first met when Kumar was with his father, a popular star. Prem Nath they were working together.He shared that there was an incident with the two on the set, adding details and sharing, “The day of the shoot, he asked the assistant, ‘I didn’t get the dialogue’, and he said, ‘Manoj ji aaye nahin’, Manoj ji was writing the dialogue. ‘Woh aayenge, abhi dialogue, Then we will give you likhenge”.

However, this is not how his father worked. Monty Nath explained that his father came from a theater background, and he was used to preparing his lines and “doing his homework” in advance. However, when he realized that the interview was still being recorded, he called Manoj Kumar to his dressing room at that time. He added, “So, he said, ‘Please call Manoj-ji.’ Manoj-ji entered the make-up room. My father explained, ‘This is my story. I believe you write dialogue on set, and I’m used to getting my lines. So, I want to prepare myself before I start shooting, before I start filming.’”Manoj Kumar then told his father that the two should compromise and meet in the middle, doing their jobs. Then Kumar told his father, “‘Let me do my way. I will give the talks this time.
