NIFT UG 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the NIFT UG 2026 round 1 seat allotment result on the official counseling portal, which allows registered candidates to check their allotment status online. Candidates can access the result by logging in with their NIFT UG registration number and password on the official website.Candidates who have seats allotted in the Bachelor of Design (BDes) and Bachelor of Fashion Technology (BFTech) programs must download their provisional seat allotment letter from the portal. Apart from checking the allotment status, candidates must complete the submission of willingness and pay the prescribed admission fee within the notified deadline to retain the allotted seat.Admission process after the allocation of placesThe counseling portal allows selected candidates to view the allotment result, download the provisional allotment letter and complete the admission procedures. According to the official notification, failure to pay the required admission fee within the stipulated period will result in the cancellation of the allocated seat. Such candidates will not be eligible to participate in the next regular rounds of counselling.The NIFT 2026 Entrance Examination (NIFTEE) was conducted in February 2026 for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programs offered by the National Institute of Fashion Technology.Schedule of the 2nd round and change of choiceCandidates who are not allocated a place in Round 1 will automatically be considered for subsequent rounds of allocation of places, provided they remain registered and meet the eligibility requirements.NTA has also announced that the option to apply for an NRI sponsored seat for the second round will be available on July 3, 2026, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Candidates will also be able to change their choice filling for the second round between July 3 and 5.Steps to check the award resultCandidates can access the NIFT UG Round 1 Seat Allotment Result 2026 by visiting the official counseling website and selecting the Round 1 Seat Allotment Result link on the home page. Then they should enter their NIFT UG registration number and password before logging in. The allotted seat details will appear on the screen, after that candidates can verify the information and download the provisional seat allotment letter for future admission procedures.
