NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the final correction window for NEET UG 2026 application fee refund bank details today, July 7, 2026. Candidates eligible for refund must verify or update their account information on the NTA NEET official portal by 11:50 PM IST.The extended window has been provided to enable candidates to correct errors in bank account details and ensure eligible refunds are processed. Candidates who do not complete the final submission or verification within the established deadline may experience delays or non-processing of their refund.Final verification process for refund requestsCandidates need to login to NTA NEET official portal and check the details like bank account number, bank name and IFSC code. The account provided must belong to the nominee, a parent, or a joint account that includes the nominee’s name.NTA has advised the candidates who had already submitted the bank details before to re-verify the information before the closing time. General category candidates will get Rs 1,700 while OBC-NCL and EWS candidates will get Rs 1,600. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwD and Transgender categories will get Rs.1000. NRI candidates will get Rs 9,500.NTA has already started processing direct bank transfers in phases for candidates whose bank credentials have been successfully verified. Bank processing charges and GST applied during the original payment will not be refunded.History of refund portal updatesNTA opened the first refund portal window on May 22, 2026. The initial deadline for submitting bank details was May 27, 2026. The agency extended the deadline on June 22, 2026 and opened another refund portal phase on June 25, 2026, following the June 21 re-examination.The previously announced deadline was June 30, 2026. The latest extension has made July 7, 2026 at 11:50 PM IST the last opportunity for corrections and updates.NEET UG 2026 Registration and Return StatisticsNEET UG 2026 recorded 22,79,743 registered candidates, and 22,05,035 appeared for the exam on May 3, 2026. The attendance rate was 96.92%. Female applicants were 13,32,928, while male applicants stood at 9,46,815.The exam was conducted at 5,432 test centers in 551 national and 14 international cities. According to NTA data, 8,29,510 candidates have successfully verified their bank details, while more than 13,75,000 candidates are still pending verification or correction.
