Speaking after receiving the two awards at the post-match presentation, the youngster described the moment as the fulfillment of a lifelong ambition.

“It’s a great feeling. We prepared very well for two or three days after we arrived in Harare. I also played in the Under-19 World Cup here, so I really enjoyed playing in this venue, everyone supported me, the captain, the coaches, everyone, so I’m very happy,” said Sooryvanashi. Known for his attacking style, Sooryavanshi said he never changed his natural game despite making the move to international cricket.“My game is the same as I play in T20 cricket. I just try to do that for the team. In all the three matches, I try to give the team a good start. If I start well, I want the innings to be bigger. That’s my only approach. What I do in practice, I try to copy it in the match too. Dream come true, my first Player of the Match!” Sooryavanshi added.
