The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) cell will release the MHT CET 2026 Provisional Merit List today, July 22, for the candidates who registered for the counseling process. Once published, candidates can check the merit list on the official websites, cetcell.mahacet.org and fe2026.mahacet.org.The provisional merit list will include the ranks of candidates prepared on the basis of Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) 2026 performance and class 12 marks. Earlier, MHT CET result only showed percentile scores.Candidates are advised to carefully check all the details mentioned in the provisional merit list after downloading it. If they find any mistake, they can raise objections or request corrections till 23rd July 2026. After reviewing all the objections, the CET Cell will release the final merit list on 27th July 2026.

Candidates can follow these steps to download provisional merit list:
- Visit the official website at cetcell.mahacet.org.
- Open the admission portal at fe2026.mahacet.org.
- Go to the Notifications section.
- Click on
MHT CET 2026 Link Provisional Merit List. - The merit list will open in PDF format.
- Download the PDF and check your data carefully.
What happens after publishing the merit list?
Once the provisional merit list is published, the CET Cell will open the objection window. Candidates who notice incorrect information can submit objections within the established period.After reviewing all the valid objections, the CET Cell will publish the final merit list. The counseling process will then proceed to the option filling and option entry stage. Allotment of places will be done based on the ranks mentioned in the final merit list.
