Maruti Suzuki has updated the Brezza with revised styling, new technology and a much-expanded feature list, while retaining the familiar lineup of four variants. The compact SUV continues to be offered in LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+ trims. Buyers can also choose from petrol, turbo-petrol, automatic and CNG powertrain options depending on the variant. Here’s a closer look at what each version has to offer.
Maruti Suzuki Brezza: Variant-wise features
The entry-level LXi focuses on essential features while covering the basics on the safety front. It is equipped with six airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), ABS, Hill Hold Assist and ISOFIX child seat anchorages. Maruti also provides three-point seatbelts for all passengers, manual air conditioning, tilt-adjustable steering, front power windows and dual-tone cabin. On the outside, it gets halogen projector headlamps with LED DRLs and steel wheels with wheel covers, making it the cheapest way to own the Brezza.Stepping up to the VXi brings a noticeable jump in equipment. This variant gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering-mounted controls, four-speaker audio system with tweeter, rear AC vents and front center armrest. It also features rear power windows, electrically adjustable outside mirrors, automatic climate control, keyless entry with push-button start, tilt and telescopic steering, a height-adjustable driver’s seat and alloy wheels.The turbo-petrol version of the VXi further adds practical features such as rear wiper, front fog lamps, reverse parking camera, front parking sensors and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.The ZXi variant is equipped with Blind Spot Monitor, Safe Exit Warning, 360-degree HD camera, front parking sensors, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), head-up display, wireless phone charger and cruise control. It also gets LED projector headlamps, LED tail lamps, auto-dimming inside the rear-view mirror and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.At the top of the range sits the ZXi+, which is the most feature-rich Brezza on sale. It has a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with ARKAMYS audio tuning, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Alexa voice assistant and adaptive cruise control. It also retains features such as Blind Spot Monitor, Safe Exit Warning, 360-degree camera, front parking sensors, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, TPMS, wireless charger and auto-folding ORVMs.Additional highlights of the flagship trim include a smart key with walk-away locking, rear fast USB charging ports, leather-wrapped steering wheel, four-color cabin theme, wing-type rear headrests, machine-finished alloy wheels, LED projector headlamps and fully painted body cladding, making it the most comprehensive version of the SUV.
Engine and gearbox options
Maruti Suzuki offers the updated Brezza with several powertrain options across the lineup. The LXi is available with a 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, a 1.5-litre K15C petrol engine with a 6-speed manual, and a 1.5-litre K15C petrol-CNG option with a 6-speed manual.The VXi carries forward the same engine options while also adding a 1.5-liter K15C gasoline engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The ZXi continues with petrol and CNG powertrains, while the range-topping ZXi+ is available with a turbo-petrol engine as well as a 1.5-litre petrol automatic, giving buyers a choice between performance and convenience.
