A player Salman KhanA petition against the makers of Kala Hiran’s upcoming film was heard by a Delhi High Court on Friday. The matter was adjourned till Monday after the filmmakers assured the court that the film or its trailer would be released before the hearing.During the hearing, the lawyer representing the filmmakers told the court that it is ‘Kala Hiran’ who has become a public detractor so far. The lawyer also said that a detailed response to Salman Khan’s petition will be sent and explained that the film is yet to be released.The makers of the film also assured the court that they will not send the film to a Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to issue licenses till Monday.Justice Jyoti Singh said if the filmmakers are confident that the film will not be released in the coming days, they should prove it. The court asked their counsel to seek advice from the clients and come back with a clear decision. After talking to the filmmakers, their lawyer said that Salman Khan has not complained to the CBFC as a party in the case. The judge said that no film can be released without getting clearance from the board and said that ‘Kala Hiran’ was not submitted for approval.“We will not send it to the CBFC till Monday,” the lawyer assured the court. Taking cognizance of his statement, the High Court recorded the filmmakers’ reply and ordered the matter to be registered on Monday.Earlier, Salman Khan’s lawyer urged the court to order the filmmakers to enter into an agreement to prevent the release of the film for now. Explaining that the matter was about the violation of the player’s rights, the lawyer asked for help for a while.The court later accepted the filmmakers’ plea that the film should not be submitted to the CBFC before Monday and scheduled the hearing accordingly.Salman Khan approached the Delhi High Court seeking relief from the makers of ‘Kala Hiran’, More details about the dispute are expected to emerge when the matter comes up again next week.
