India’s white-ball tour of Ireland begins tomorrow on Friday, June 26, with a two-match T20I series at the Civil Service Cricket Club (Stormont) in Belfast. The competition marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Indian side, with Shreyas Iyer set to lead the team in T20Is for the first time. The series has generated a lot of interest among fans, especially since 15-year-old batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is expected to make his international debut. The youngster has impressed throughout IPL 2026 and has now earned his first call-up to the senior national side.

Why did the game start earlier than usual?

Unlike India’s usual T20I start time of 7:00 PM IST, both the matches in the Ireland series will start at 6:00 PM IST (1:30 PM local time). Cricket Ireland has decided to push back the start time by an hour to reduce scheduling conflicts in India’s crucial Women’s T20 World Cup fixture against Australia on June 28. While some overlap remains unavoidable, the revised time will allow fans to follow a larger portion of the two matches.
